Corsair takes the lead on Fanatec acquisition
After CEO Thomas Jackermeier’s recent dismissal, the future of sim racing peripheral manufacturer Fanatec has been cast into doubt.
However, a surprising knight in shining armour has emerged as global PC parts peddler Corsair is negotiating with the struggling German business, seemingly usurping a rival bid by a Jackermier-backed group (for the moment!).
With well-publicised delivery issues set for special attention, and a freshly inked Formula 1 licensing deal on the table, Fanatec still has a huge part to play in the future of sim racing, and Californian giant Corsair seems to agree.
