F1 Sim Racing’s Dramatic Return

F1 Sim Racing’s return was by all accounts a huge success, with a combined viewership in the millions. With limited preparation time, drivers were kept on their toes throughout, making for some thoroughly entertaining racing.

It was Frede Rasmussen who seized the initiative during the condensed racing programme, however, with the Red Bull Sim Racing driver taking three victories and a further podium to build a 41-point lead at the top of the standings.

There was some controversy, however, as Ferrari’s Nicolas Longuet had to start the Zandvoort round from pole position on Intermediate tyres instead of Mediums due to a game bug. Not ideal on such a big stage.

It turned out to be an eventful race for Ferrari, as Rasmussen escaped punishment for an incident in the same race after contact with Longuet’s team-mate Bari Broumand.

At least it’s refreshing to talk about on-track incidents given F1 Sim Racing’s difficult start.

The final rounds of the F1 Sim Racing 2023/24 season are set to be held starting from the 7th of May, so tune in to the F1 YouTube channel to see if anyone can stop Rasmussen.
