Formula 1 Esports returns! No, really…

F1 Esports - or F1 Sim Racing as it’s now been dubbed - has endured a tricky time of late, with recent on-site events either cancelled or postponed.

This meant that only one round has been completed this season, with Thomas Ronhaar leading the way for Alfa Romeo F1 Team KICK Esports.

However, last week F1 announced two, multi-race LAN events to complete the championship, with the first set to begin on the 10th of April.

All 10 of F1’s official teams will be represented on the virtual grid, with drivers battling it out for an impressive $750,000 prize pool across the 11 remaining rounds, presumably using F1 23.

With F1 24 set for release at the end of May, perhaps we’ll see its public debut sooner than expected?
