GTRevival switches game engine
Ian Bell, the divisive boss of GTRevival developer Staright4 Studios, took to X last week to tell his loyal band of followers that the upcoming title has changed game engines mid-development.
After extolling the virtues of Unreal Engine 5 Bell has changed tack, moving to the MADNESS engine his previous team - Slightly Mad Studios - used for the Project CARS franchise (Reiza Studios also employ it for Automobilista 2).
How this affects GTRevival’s lead time remains to be seen, but a range of screenshots and video footage showed encouraging signs the game could be a spiritual successor to SimBin’s GTR 2.
