BTCC Content Expansion

News that the BTCC and Motorsport Games reignited their relationship came out of the blue last week, but it throws up some interesting questions.

A settlement fee of $225,000 was negotiated between the pair to compensate the BTCC’s parent company (BARC - TOCA Limited) for contract breaches, with a new agreement - this time non-exclusive - put in place to secure the future of rFactor 2’s BTCC content.

This may leave the door open for a future BTCC game by Motorsport Games, with BTCC content potentially appearing in other games too.

Whichever way you look at it, this is a positive step for the BTCC and its fans and one step closer to the dream of a full-blown TOCA 2: Touring Cars sequel.
