Fanatec reaffirms its F1 licence agreement

Amid Thomas Jackermeier’s ousting as Fanatec CEO earlier in the month, the German manufacturer has announced the renewal of its Formula 1 licence agreement.

This means Fanatec continues to develop F1-branded sim racing peripherals like the recently unveiled ClubSport Racing Wheel F1. Alongside this, Fanatec supplies rigs and equipment for the official F1 Esports series, F1 Sim Racing.

However, an F1 licence comes at a cost, so it remains to be seen whether selling F1-themed products can help turn Fanatec’s fortunes around.
