EA SPORTS WRC update underwhelms

EA SPORTS WRC’s latest version 1.6.0 patch released last week but left fans wanting more.

Although the update addressed a huge number of bugs and compatibility issues - and crucially added Andreas Mikkelsen as an AI opponent in WRC2 events - sadly there was no new content (however, of more concern to online hot-lappers, both the Hyundai i20 and Ford Puma Rally1 HYBRIDs have been buffed to allow them to compete better with their Toyota Yaris rival).

With several environments from DiRT Rally 2.0 yet to be represented in WRC players live in the hope that new stages and cars aren’t too far off. But with recent job cuts at EA one wonders what the long-term future of WRC looks like.
