Thomas Jackermeier removed as Fanatec CEO

Coming as a shock to most sim racing fans, Fanatec’s CEO and long-standing figurehead Thomas Jackermeier was dismissed from his role last week.

Arriving off the back of Fanatec’s torrid 2023 delivery and quality issues, Jackermeier brings his 27-year-long reign to an end due to the state of the German company’s finances.

It seems like his removal is related to the terms of a bank loan whose terms had been breached. The board of Fanatec’s parent company ENDOR AG were forced to take action to maintain favour with its lender, and his dismissal will be official as of the 30th of March.
